This is just a quick note, but it comes from the bottom of my heart.  I am very taken aback and overwhelmed by all your generosity and kindness to help me reach my goals and dreams in triathlon.

Goal

With the money I propose to use it to cover travel costs, race entries, kit and accommodation to help me fulfil my selection as well as further pursue my elite career.

Background

I come from a swimming background representing Kingston-upon-Hull swimming club at national level in galas all around the country making this my strongest discipline. 

I have swam from a very early age where my parents have given up so much of their time by waking up at 4am every morning for training and also taking me after school. My family holidays often centre around my Great Britain selections around Europe. 

Triathlon is something I started to pursue from the age of 15 and In the last two years I have finally mastered the arts of running and cycling with the help of Hull Achilles Junior Running Club, City of Hull Cycling Club, Humber Triathletes and also the head coach of Team Swift Cycle Squad. Recently I had to miss the World Championships due to lack of funding as this race was just too costly to fulfil my selection.

Current Position

Currently I am studying for my A levels so I have to train around college. Most mornings I wake up at 6am except swim days when I wake up at 4am. I do my training then head off to study for the day. When I arrive home I then train again for a few more hours. I currently train 6 days a week averaging 12 sessions per week making my training tally to around 15-20 hours per week. 

Currently I have qualified for the World Championship in Canada which I could not make and also the European Championships in Turkey which I am trying to find the funding for. I have also recently made the British junior elite squad where I raced in the super series in Liverpool.

The Future

My short term goal is to compete at the European Championships in Turkey, my long term goals are to make the elite squad again and hopefully pursue this as my career. 

It is really important that I reach my target as I just cannot keep relying on my parents all the time as they have already given so much not only in money but also in countless hours.

My achievements this year so far are,

1st Place  - David Lloyds Sprint Triathlon

3rd Place  - British Triathlon Sprint Championships

3rd Place  - ITU Sprint Distance Triathlon World Championship Qualifier Nottingham

2nd Place  - ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon European Championship Qualifier

1st Place  -  St Neots Triathlon Series Race 2

9th Place  -  Elite Race - British Triathlon Championships Liverpool
